Versa is similar to Allergan's Juvederma Ultra in application. At this time Versa does not come with lidocaine, an anesthetic (the XC in Juvederm), and so we use a topical numbing cream or inject lidocaine for a block. For those especially anxious we can order a prescription for Ativan to calm your nerves the day of the procedure. Pain is variable per individual and many have this done without any anesthetic with no difficulty.
